  1. A new ending to A Midsummer’s Night Dream for the movie version that we watched in class would be to show more of your own interpretation to what you think Shakesphere is trying to say rather than what actually happened. The movie had a short clip of there interpretation however, many people are still making sense of the play that occured within the play. SOme people are also trying to still try to remember how Helena fell in love with Demetrius and Lysander how he fell bac in love with Hermia and out of love with Helena. I thought that the movie moved to fast and didn’t capture the true meaning of what happened in the book.

  2. A new ending of Mid Summers Night Dream would be that the potion mix up never happen. Then that the father ended up wanting Hermia to marry Lsander and then they did. Helena would realizie how much of a jerk Demetrius is and she would just forget about him then Helena nad Demetruis could go to Lysander and Hermia’s wedding and fall back in love…THE END!

  3. For a new ending to “A Midsummer’s Night Dream”, I would talk more about the wedding and make the play more entertaining. Or the play would be dreadful but they still pull it off in some way. I would also have Hermia’s father tell her that he’s happy that she married who she chose. One last thing I would change is to find out about what happened to the boy that Oberon now has. Is he ok or is he a slave; or maybe Titania was able to get him back to her custody. Other than those little things I don’t think I would really change the ending. I like the way it ended.

  4. For the ending of ” A Midsummer’s Night Dream”, I would talk more about the play and wedding. I would put more detail into the wedding. Then with the play make it kind of longer and not as unprepared as they made it look. Another thing I would do is the same Lauren said, have Hermia’s father tell her that she is happy and proud of her chose of who she married. Thats really all I would change, i liked the ending of the book.

  5. I think a good ending for “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” would be that for the play that Puck helps the actors in the play do better. Like two posts above, I also think that Egeus would talk with Hermia and say he is proud of her.

  6. You are all putting Shakespeare to shame! You recognized holes in his plot that you could drive a truck through! Keep it up!

  7. Two of the characters attitudes could’ve changed for the end of the movie. First, Egeus could’ve taken it a little better that his daughter was marrying someone else since Demetrius did not want to marry her, even if she did. And second, Puck’s character changed dramatically. In the movie, he went from trickster who loves chaos, to a humanitarian who restores peace and takes delight in it by. He at least could’ve stayed a little like himself and tripped Egeus or something.

  8. I think that more could be added to the current ending. Puck should have played tricks on Egeus for only thinking of himself and not giving his daughter to marry her true love. It would have put Puck’s tricks to good use. In the very end, Egeus would end up realizing that Lysander is a good guy and Hermia is better with him than Demetrius. It would show a little more of Oberon and Titania and how they fall in love again.

  9. everybody in the play dies after they get married. there is a big astriod and lands right on thesius’ palace.
