What types of activites do we use to celebrate a wedding? How is this different from the celebration in A Midsummer Night’s Dream?

  1. To celebrate weddings, people usually have a reception afterwards. People eat, drink, dance, and throw the bouquet. In a Midsummer Night’s Dream, the people watched a play for entertainment.

  2. To celebrate weddings, there’s usually a recpetion where everyone hangsout out and talks. There is usually a band or a dj playing music with a bunch of people dancing. People eat cake, make toasts and do the whole garder and bouquet thing.

  3. Usually there is dancing, music, a big wedding cake. But for didffrent culture’s there are diffrent things for entertainment.

  4. There are many different ways to celebrate a wedding. Some have a reception with music, cake, talking and celebrate with family. Some people don`t have the funds to have a reception, wedding and honeymoon so they may just have the wedding go to there house with family and celebrate and then go directly on there honeymoon. Diffrent cultures however do celebrate differently. Some cultures don`t even have a reception or honeymoon just the wedding.

  5. At weddings today we have a nice formal get together in the church then go somewhere else for the reception. With music, dancing and food. But in the book, they had a play that they were hardly prepared for. In “A Mudsummer’s Night Dream” they really didnt have a normal wedding or reception.

  6. Some activites of celebrating weddings are the reception, bachelor party’s. This is diffrent in Mid Summer Nights dream becuase they just sat in a audiorium and watched a play.

  7. Nowadays people dont watch a play at a wedding

  8. Ussauly after a wedding people celebrate by drinking and dancind eating some cake. In the book they watched a play.

  9. Some activites for a wedding are dancing, drinking, and a reception. Let’s not forget those bachelor parties, hahaha.

  10. I’m with bigschmidt, there really aren’t any plays at weddings anymore. There’s usually alot of Dancing, Eating, Singing [sometimes?] & Reseption like johnny09 said.

  11. At a reception people usua;;y eat drink and dance. They throw a bouquet and do the whole pull the garder off the girl who catches the bouqet or something like that/ Receptions are usually a lot of fun. In a Midsummers Nights Dream all they did was have a play which was actually really dumb.

  12. At alot of the weddings I have been too there is a reception, alot of eating and talkin usually takes place. There is also alot of dancing that takes place, along with singing. This is alot different than the wedding at Midsummers Nights Dream. In that situation there was a play that took place. That never usually happens.

  13. At weddings you get to meet the other family, dance, eat, drink and have fun. Most people don’t watch a play.

  14. Now we have the dress rehersal, wedding ceremony, and reception. We don’t watch a play at the wedding.

  15. When a couple celebrates a wedding now a days it is not as big of an idea. They whole town doesn’t take part in it, like in the book. Instead of going to see a play after you get married, people normally have receptions.

  16. For a wedding, people eat, drink and dance almost all night. The reception is probably thrown at a friends house to spare the newlyweds a clean up the next morning. In a midsummer nights dream, they did all the same except for the play. Its not really that strange because some weddings have creative activities that others dont. I know that at my mother and step fathers wedding, my grandfather built a large dance floor that doubled for karaoke later that night.

  17. At the weddings i have attended there has been a ceremony first and then a wedding reception that follows the ceremony. At the ceremony people eat, drink, dance and enjoy peoples company. This differs from the wedding a little bit in a Midsummer Nights because there was no play that followed the reception.

  18. Usually we eat cake and have a reception and many people dance. Also durring the wedding we exchange vows and they didn’t in the play,

  19. usually, there is a band and they play music. also there is a huge party in which everyone has fun. there is usually not a play after the wedding, like in a midsummer’s night dream. also there is only one couple that gets married.

  20. first their is only one couple getting married thier is no play at all and after a wedding their is a reception where everyone eats and dances. In a misummer’s night dream thier was more than one couple getting married and their was a play after the wedding.

  21. first their is only one couple getting married their is no play at all and after a wedding Their is a reception where everyone eats and dances. In a misummer’s night dream thier was more than one couple getting married and their was a play after the wedding.

  22. Most weddings have a reception afterwards where people dance and every one can give the newly weds a gift. At most weddings people drink and have fun.

  23. Uselly weddings will have a recption party after the cermony where people eat, drink, dance, and just spend time with the happy couple. In a Midsummer’s Night Dream they really diden’t have a party, all they really did was go to a play.

  24. Weddings these days usually are very traditional and have a ceremony and then have a party after. The parties today are usually for the family and they eat, dance, and celebrate. It seems that in “A Midsummer Night Dream” they had a large crowd come to the “party” and there they would watch a play.
